Training Beagles Puppies

Training a Beagle Puppy to hunt ( 6 months old )?
i have a 6 month old beagle puppy . i have been taking her out on the woods a lot lately trying to get to strike . she has never had her own rabbit yet nor been after one . i just got her about 2 weeks ago so im not sure if she has ever been ran or not . i do know he had some nice Hunting Beagles though . anyway the last 2 times i took her out i brought along my dads really good hunting dog . he will strike about every time he is out . she runs around with him but when he locates and starts running and barking after one she comes back to me . does anyone have any tips on getting her started . thanks !
Its Best if you train your Beagle alone by himself.* When you jump a rabbit, call the Dog over and point towards the nest or cover where the rabbit was sitting when you jumped it.* In other words show the pup where the rabbit was so he or she can catch the scent of the rabbit then watch and let the Dog work on trailing it.* I had my two (2) Beagle pups trained, trailing, and chasing when they were five (5) months old.* Be patient, and continue taking your beagle out to Hunt alone.* Praise your Dog often when it does what you want it to do.* Cottontail Hunter and Trainer of Beagles for many, many years.*
