English Bulldog Puppies For Sale: People will be excited when first time they receive their puppy, but not that much when it grows up. Of course we would never accept that. But deep down in our heart we know this to be true. It is not uncommon for a puppy to have short legs, and be thick and wrinkly as a puppy, only to be nosey like a boxer and leggy when it gets older. Whatever may be the reason of opting for a puppy, there comes a time when you must decide on which breed of dog you would like to own. Once you have decided on which breed of bulldog you want, how do you determine then exactly which bulldog to buy? For instance, say you have decided to buy an English Bulldog; here are some things to consider before making your purchase.
Body Type:
Bulldogs shapes can range from stout to blimpy. Some are low to the ground. Some might have skinny legs. There are even a huge variety of head shapes to choose from.
Size:
How big your bulldog you want to be? Do you want the shrimp of the bunch or the big daddy of the group? When you see a bulldog you like, ask the owner how much the bulldog weighs and look for bulldogs who’s mothers and fathers are in that range. A bulldog’s weight range is larger than in most other breeds.
Color and Spotting:
What color bulldog do you want? Actually color is the most eminent decision a potential owner has to make, for aesthetics is almost everything nowadays. Although when you start searching at all of the cute little bulldog pups, you start to not to really care what color they are and appreciate each one’s uniqueness.
Gender:
Do you want a little girl bulldog puppy or a bully boy? There is a misconception that girls are easier to train and that boys have less emotional issues. Don’t believe such things, they are just rumors.
Healthy:
Of course, all of us need a happy and healthy bulldog. But how can you recognize how healthy your bulldog is going to be? This goes back to who’s the breeder. Are the puppies going to be vet checked and up to date on their shots? Ensure that your bulldog is up-to-date on its shots and if possible ask to see the doctor files of the puppy’s parents.
Age:
How old should be the puppy before you carry it into your home? A puppy should remain with its mom for at least 8 weeks to feed. Probably 12 weeks is best because that 3rd month is when they can study a lot from their parents on how to be a dog in a human world. Think about the puppy and the rest of its life and try to avoid being so anxious to get him or her that you rush things. Patience is a virtue.
Owning a dog is inevitably a bit of a gamble because it’s history is usually unknown, but it is more likely to settle into it’s new home and become a much-loved member of your family if it is friendly and responsive. When you take it to home with you, be patient and give lots of your time to it.
